A place for current and former members of the Providence College Debate Society to rant, rave and, of course, argue over anything they so desire. This site is designed to keep alive the friendly spirit of open dialogue, discussion and debate that permeated the living rooms and classrooms of the PCDS. Unfortunately, there will be no hand gestures.

Very good news.
I assume these are mostly Republican appointees too, yes? Unless I'm wrong and Conn. elects their supreme court judges.
I could not be more proud.
The CT State Supreme Court is interesting, actually. They are appointed but for some reason there are 8 justices on rotation. Five of them were appointed by Republican governors (Rell and Rowland), one was appointed by a Democract and two were appointed by a governor who belonged to "The Connecticut Party," a small independent party. But I guess it's important to remember that even "Republican" means something entirely different in CT. After all, Christopher Shays is a "Republican."
